This is a full time, fixed term role until July 2025.

Oxford Brookes University are looking for an Access and Outreach Officer to join the Study Higher team. The purpose of the role is to help increase/widen participation in higher education (HE) for students from backgrounds currently underrepresented in HE. You will be working in schools, colleges and communities across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Swindon.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Study Higher Team within our Marketing, Recruitment and Engagement directorate.

Overall purpose of the Access and Outreach Officer role

As the Access and Outreach Officer you will be responsible for:

● delivering and evaluating attainment-raising activities in secondary schools.

● delivering outreach supporting aspiration.

● delivering mentoring programmes to learners from targeted groups.

● providing impartial information, advice and guidance about the variety of HE options to learners.

● supporting the design and delivery of outreach projects for young carers, care experienced students and/or young people from Armed Forces families.

Qualifications and Experience for the post of Access and Outreach Officer
