    About the Role

    We are seeking a skilled Academic Services Officer who will be responsible for undertaking a range of administrative activities, an integral part in supporting the delivery of UniSA Online's programs and courses.

    About UniSA Online

    UniSA Online was established as a key project as part of the University's Digital Learning Strategy. As an established Unit, UniSA Online offers fully online degrees purposely designed for study on demand, 24/7 student support, and access to state of the art teaching and learning resources through an interactive online platform.

    The UniSA Online unit, reporting to the Provost & Chief Academic Officer, delivers high quality, supportive, flexible and interactive online education for students, and embodies the corporate values of innovation, client service and academic excellence. UniSA Online supports UniSA's strategic ambitions detailed in Enterprise 25, to grow the online postgraduate programs and short courses, and expand reach to students based overseas.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake a broad range of administrative activities to support the delivery of programs and courses, in consultation with key stakeholders, including maintenance of all program course and teaching materials and providing support for assessments and result entry
  • Work with Online Course Facilitators and Program Facilitators to ensure course outlines and course websites are updated each study period
  • Liaise with students to arrange academic counselling and prepare documentation as required with relation to academic integrity and academic progression activities. Resolve issues where possible or escalate to the Academic Services Coordinator
  • Use the University's information systems to access, retrieve and interpret data to generate reports and documentation to respond to staff, students and key stakeholder queries and requests
  • Provide approved information to the UniSA Online Marketing team for the review and update of specific program and research information on the UniSA Online website and in other communications
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Experience working in and administrative role in a team-based service environment
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including preparation of written materials and experience in liaising with people at all levels both internal and external to an organisation to deliver quality customer service
  • Knowledge in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • Proven organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities under broad direction including a high level of attention detail
