Job Description
Key Duties:
• Independent solution of complex scientific, research or development tasks in the fields of environmental chemistry and toxicology in research on the impact of exposure and health risks of hazardous foreign substances.
• Coordination and implementation of research projects using complex environmental, analytical, and toxicological data.
• Management of process optimization/innovation, development, optimization and validation of sampling techniques (especially air quality).
• Data analysis of projects focusing on environmental epidemiology, exposome, and individual internal and external exposures in cohort studies.
• Analysis of spatial and temporal data with GIS using R-studio, Python.
• Ensuring research funding is secured - collaborating on grant searches, writing and submissions and contract opportunities, implementing own projects, including contract research.
• Working in a wider research team and managing other staff and their activities in project teams, collaborating with partners in the Czech Republic and abroad.
• Own publication activities (peer-reviewed journals) and presentation of research results at conferences.
• Participation in teaching, especially supervision of final student theses.
