About the role
Location: Joplin, MO
The MSSU Teacher Education Department is seeking a 12-month Master Instructor, beginning for the 2026-2027 academic year in the area(s) of Teacher Education. A Specialist or Doctorate is preferred in Education or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of five years of successful PK-12 teaching experience with evidence of effective instructional practice and student learning.
Preferred experience as an administrator in a public or private school.
Experience supervising teachers and/or teacher candidates, mentoring novice teachers, or supporting educator development.
Experience teaching online and/or graduate-level courses.
Experience with educator preparation programs, accreditation processes, assessment systems, or data management.
Knowledge of Missouri teacher certification requirements and DESE standards.
Experience building and sustaining partnerships with PK-12 schools and districts.
