Routledge's Series Nordic Studies in a Global Context Welcomes Interdisciplinary PerspectivesThis new edited series from Routledge welcomes new submissions, and has gained a more interdisciplinary perspective with our project leader and History Professor Eirinn Larsen as a new editor alongside Haldor Byrkjeflot and Cathie Jo Martin (Boston University) from the Social Sciences. This book series aims to explore global and comparative contexts of research on the Nordic region, and to incorporate a broad range of themes concerned with Nordic cultures, institutions, legal frameworks, and "models". As Routledge states, the book series aims to "create a bridge between humanistic Nordic studies and the comparative and IR-oriented social sciences and law programmes." The series welcomes new submissions from all disciplines across social sciences, law and humanities. This book series aims to explore global and comparative contexts of research on the Nordic region, and to incorporate a broad range of themes concerned with Nordic cultures, institutions, legal frameworks, and "models". As Routledge states, the book series aims to "create a bridge between humanistic Nordic studies and the comparative and IR-oriented social sciences and law programmes."

As editor Eirinn Larsen provides representation from the humanities, and works together with social scientists Haldor Byrkjeflot (Professor of Sociology) and Cathie Jo Martin (Professor of Political Science).

Eirinn Larsen is Professor in History at the University of Oslo and the Project Leader of Nordic Branding.

Haldor Byrkjeflot is Professor of Sociology at the University of Oslo and a member of the UiO:Nordic research group Nordic Civil Societies.

Cathie Jo Martin is Professor of Political Science at Boston University and the former chair of the Council for European Studies.
