Job Title Writer/Producer Job Description

The University of Notre Dame is hiring two Writer/Producers who create rapid response communications that engage the University's constituents and inspire them to advance our unique mission through critical fundraising.

In this role, you will be a new key member of the Annual Giving team at one of the nation's leading Universities. You will join a gritty, fun, and collaborative team who embrace thinking differently and love challenging the status quo. You will leverage your creativity and excellent writing skills every day to produce persuasive, emotionally evocative multichannel fundraising campaigns that raise critical funds that empower Notre Dame students to be forces for good in the world.

Core Activities:

  • Write targeted content that encourages Notre Dame's constituents to take action on critical funding needs at the University.
  • Build, execute, and track the performance of email campaigns.
  • Publish landing pages for email actions or paid ad campaigns.
  • Create graphics to be used in email campaigns, paid ad creatives, and associated website landing pages.
  • Produce social media content that corresponds to email or paid ad campaigns.
  • Maintain a content calendar in coordination with both internal staff and consultants.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent persuasive writing skills
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • At least 1-2 years experience of writing, content creation, storytelling, or fundraising
  • Experience with common graphic design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of or experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce are a plus.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS are a plus.
