Duties and Responsibilities: Student will work in the archaeology lab (located in the Liberal Arts Annex) assisting AUM archaeologists with collections management. Primary duties include re-bagging and re-boxing of archaeological collections into archival-standard boxes and bags. Additional duties may include the washing, bagging, and sorting of artifacts, creating an inventory of current collections, assisting with lab projects as they arise, basic cleaning of lab (e.g. sweeping the floor, wiping down tables, disposing of trash). Student will also be responsible for retrieving, shifting, and shelving collection material, and scanning.

Minimum Qualifications: Ability to pay close attention to detail Able to respond well to feedback, communicate clearly, and follow exact directions Organization and time management skills Experience using Word and Excel Interpersonal and communication skills Digital technology application skills Able lift up to 50 lbs. Interest in archaeology, anthropology, and/or collections management of any kind is a plusPreference given to students who are majors or minors within the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work
