Job Title Workforce Development Program Manager, SCCTC

Classification Title Job Description

The Workforce Development Program Manager, SCCTC will report directly to the Director of Workforce Development and will aid in the leadership and oversight in the development, scheduling, marketing, implementation, delivery, record keeping, state reporting, and evaluation of workforce training.

The Workforce Development Program Manager, SCCTC will be located at the Saline County Career Technical Campus and will primarily focus on the development of the Broadband Expansion Initiative Tower climbing program and other workforce training in Saline County and the ASU Three River service area.

Essential Job Functions: • Contact businesses and industries regularly to assess their needs for training. • Look for opportunities for, and participate in, the creation of courses to meet the needs of business and industry clients. • Draft agreements for presentation to clients including information such as available training, costs, numbers of participants, location of training, and any other aspect of training programs. • Establish and maintain records of all trainings. • Ensure instructor payroll information is completed prior to any delivery of training. • Work to develop contractual agreements that maximize college profit. • Coordinate services such as maintenance, room set-up, and oversight of training; overhead projector, computers, LCD projector, screens, ordering class materials, registration, evaluations, etc. • Ensure client complaints are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner to optimize overall customer satisfaction. • Organize, plan, and execute events such as workforce camps, workforce conferences, etc. • Convey college and client expectations and guidelines to assigned adjunct faculty. • Provide training feedback to clients based on in-class evaluations. • File weekly reports with the Director describing activities completed the previous week. • Work collaboratively with the Director to establish annual goals for Workforce Development. • Ensure that workforce training goals are met – including revenue generation. • Ensure that any required reports are filed in a timely manner. • Prepare and submit Workforce Development grant funding applications as deemed appropriate. • Submit annual budget recommendations to the Director. • Travel as required. • Other duties as assigned by the Director, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, or the Chancellor.

Required Qualifications

Required Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a concentration in accounting or business administration. • Demonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives and managing a high volume workflow office. • Proficiency with use of e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet. • Experience in the telecommunications industry with knowledge of tower, overhead, and underground operations. • Demonstrated excellent supervisory, administrative, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, college employees and the public. • Demonstrated organizational skills in handling, directing and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments and projects. • Skill in working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or our governing board.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university, with a concentration in accounting or business administration. • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the business office functional area at a comprehensive community college or university. • Demonstrated experience in conducting and planning customized workforce training programs. • Demonstrated experience in writing and submitting grant applications. • DDI Certified facilitator.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
