Job Summary

This position, under the general direction of the Head Coach, provides day-to- day oversight of the administrative and clerical functions of the Women's Basketball program, including but not limited to: logistics; compliance; public relations and community service opportunities; event coordination; and budgetary and operational support.

This is a temporary position expected to end April 30, 2024 with possibility of extension.

Cal Poly Athletics is committed to providing a broad based, high quality, competitive, NCAA Division I athletic program that affords student-athletes opportunities to take advantage of Cal Poly's unique Learn by Doing philosophy. Cal Poly's Athletic teams compete in the Big West, Big Sky and Pac 12 conferences. Cal Poly fields twenty-one athletic teams with approximately 550 student athletes.

Key Qualifications

  • Assist head coach with overall program calendar, including practice calendar, arranging practices for both home and away competitions.
  • Plan and organize team travel including preparing and distributing itineraries, coordinating meals, accommodation and transportation and maintaining accurate reimbursement records.
  • Coordinate and schedule official on-campus visits for potential student- athletes.
  • Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Five years of general office support or technical experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience).
  • Salary and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Range: $46,224-$53,491 annually

    Classification Range: $44,172-$72,408 annually
