Doctoral Position (Research Assistant) – 50%
located in the Frankfurt/Darmstadt area in Germany, with a fixed-term contract
for 3 years. It may be possible to increase working hours up to 75% of a full
You will join the team around Prof. Pisch as a PhD Candidate and contribute to
the chair's research and teaching activities. The general research areas
include International, Organisational and Environmental Economics with a focus
on empirical/applied work. Typical projects revolve around firms in
international commerce, global value chains, multinational corporations and
their organisation, as well as the corporate ecological footprint. English is
the main working language at the chair.
At the time of starting, a successful candidate holds a completed university
degree/Masters degree (very good or distinction) in an economics- or
business-related field of study, with an interest in joining the PhD programme
at the GSEFM.
The candidate is highly motivated to undertake excellent empirical research in
one of the chair's fields of expertise. An applicant has experience in
statistical and/or econometric data analysis as well as some proficiency in
digital suites used for it, like Stata or R. Full proficiency in English is
necessary, while German is not. Our team is devoted to maintaining a diverse
