The candidate will be asked to develop/set up an algorithm for the reconstruction of the wind field within convective thunderstorm systems starting from Doppler radar and lidar measurements using data assimilation techniques (e.g., 3Dvar), or similar/alternative methodology. The algorithm will be properly validated with ground-based anemometric measurements and tested in an operational environment (TRL 6/7).
