The Nutrition Program in the department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences in collaboration with the Athletics Department seeks a Visiting Special Instructor with expertise in sports nutrition, nutrition assessment, and counseling. The Special Instructor will teach nutrition and dietetics courses and provide nutrition and dietary counseling, education, and support for 18 NCAA Division I sport programs and one varsity eSports program. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications
Masters prepared registered dietitian/registered dietitian nutritionist (RD/RDN) with 1-2 years sports nutrition experience and knowledge of NCAA rules regarding dietary supplements and third-party certifications. Experience with teaching college nutrition courses preferred.

The School of Health Sciences (SHS) serves over 2000 undergraduate, masters, doctoral, and post-professional students through a singular model of advancing community-engaged translational relationships, and connecting theory to best practices. Built upon the foundations of the natural and behavioral sciences we are organized departmentally into four themes: Public and Environmental Wellness, Human Movement Science, Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences, and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (IDH).
The IDH department, where life and health interests intersect , offers distinct degree programs at the bachelors (BS) level. Our undergraduate degree in Nutrition, with an optional dietetics specialization, has candidacy accreditation by ACEND as a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). Our long- standing BS in Health Sciences degree offers study concentrations in holistic health, pre-health professions, and pre-pharmacy while our new BS in Health Systems degree supports pursuits of non-clinical, health-centered careers.
