Salary Information Department Summary
The Department of English strives to promote a greater understanding of literature and culture; to add to literary tradition by fostering new works of poetry, fiction and nonfiction; to innovate in writing instruction; and to investigate the history of persuasive writing.
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Position Summary
Lecturer in English. This one-year position is full-time, comes with a competitive salary, and includes benefits. Responsibilities for the position include teaching four courses each semester in first-year writing.
Minimum Qualifications
M.A. in English, Composition Studies, or related field. Demonstrated excellence in first-year writing instruction.
