The Visiting Assistant Professor is a non-tenure track position held by an individual who possesses all the qualifications to be appointed at that rank or who has held that rank at another institution. The Visiting Assistant Professor's teaching responsibilities are assigned by the academic department head and may include serving as an academic advisor.

Description of Primary Duties

Teach Computer Science courses, and continuous improvement appropriate to ABET accreditation.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.

Additional Qualifications

A PhD in Computer Science or closely related field (e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Engineering) is required (ABD will be considered). Applicants from all areas of computer science are invited to apply. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Applicants must show a potential for excellence in teaching.
