The Visiting Assistant Professor is a non-tenure track position held by an individual who possesses all the qualifications to be appointed at that rank or who has held that rank at another institution. The Visiting Assistant Professor's teaching responsibilities are assigned by the academic department head and may include serving as an academic advisor.

Description of Primary Duties

Teaching courses in Introductory Biology, general physiology, and others in expertise.; academic advising; departmental service

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.

Additional Qualifications

PhD in Biology or related field; Evidence of training/skills necessary to teach courses in introductory biology and physiology (including labs); excellent communication skills
