The Greehey School of Business invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track,
Visiting Assistant Professor in the Accounting Department of the Greehey
School of Business to begin August 1, 2021. A one-year appointment is
anticipated and extension of the appointment is possible. There is no
guarantee of extension and any extension would be dependent on departmental
need and budgetary approval. This full-time position is envisioned to support
the accounting, auditing, and general business areas. This position will be on
a 4-4 teaching load each fall and spring semester with possible teaching
opportunities during the summer. Courses taught by the professor fulfilling
this position could include introductory Financial and Managerial Accounting,
Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Government and Not for Profit
Accounting, Auditing, Advanced Accounting and Principles of Business.
The position is housed in the Accounting Department of the Greehey School of
Business. The School has 30 full-time faculty serving seven different majors
and two MBA programs. The Accounting Department has 4 full-time faculty who
serve two majors and teach the required accounting class in the MBA programs.

skilled, ethical, professional, globally aware and prepared for careers of

Qualifications: Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or DBA in accounting
or auditing from an AACSB accredited university or have a master's degree from
the same with significant industry experience in accounting and auditing.
Applicants who have recently attained ABD status will also be considered.
Current CPA/CMA certification is preferred. Interest or experience with a
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is desirable. This is a full-
time position and salary is market competitive.
The Greehey School of Business is AACSB accredited. At the undergraduate
level, it offers a BBA with majors in Accounting, Accounting and Data
Analytics, Finance & Risk Management, Management, Marketing, and International
Business. It also offers a management track in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
and a marketing track in Digital Marketing. At the graduate level, the school
offers an 18-month cohort based Greehey MBA, and an MBA for Professionals
(MBAP). Class sizes are small with an average faculty to student ratio of
1:17. The School has an excellent reputation for academic quality and has a
