The Department of Political Science & International Relations at Siena College
invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for 2022-23
academic year. The faculty member will be primarily responsible for offering
introductory courses in Comparative Politics and elective courses in their
area of expertise. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Political Science or a
related discipline by the time of appointment.
As a liberal arts institution, we seek candidates with a demonstrated
commitment to teaching excellence. The successful candidate will teach a 4
course load each semester, with primary responsibility for multiple sections
of POSC 140 Comparative Politics. Preferred candidates will be qualified to
teach introductory American Politics and research methods as well. We
encourage applications from candidates with teaching expertise in African
politics, race & ethnic politics, comparative political institutions, urban
politics, or Asian politics.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Political Science or a related discipline by
the time of appointment. Preferred candidates will be qualified to teach
introductory American Politics and research methods as well.
