Position Title (Classification Title): Visiting Assistant Professor in
Job Summary: The Department of Biology seeks qualified applicants for a one-
year visiting assistant professor position starting August 2021. The position
will be a 9-month contract, with the option to pick up additional courses
during the summer. The candidate will be expected to teach a 4:4 course load
at the undergraduate and graduate level including but not limited to marine
vertebrate zoology and lab, general biology II for majors, and conservation
biology. Participation in community outreach through existing and newly
developed avenues is encouraged as well as service to the Department.
Minimum Position Qualifications: Completed Ph.D. in Biology or closely
related discipline by the time of appointment from an accredited institution
with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and
