  • The Department of Government of the Faculty of Social Sciences announces an University Assistant post-doc position in the field of "Democratic Governance". The research focus should lie in the fields of party competition and/or coalition governance.

    The position is limited until the 27th of September 2021. If the employee´s absence is extended, the position can also be extended for this period.

    - active participation in currently active and planned research projects in the areas party competition and coalition research - conducting original research in the areas of party competition and coalition research with the goal of publishing internationally (in particular in leading SSCI journals) - maintaining international contacts on behalf of the department - active cooperation in the organization of the department`s teaching programme in the field of "Democratic Governance" - autonomous teaching courses at BA and MA levels according to wage agreement - participation in the department`s administration - active participation in currently active and planned research projects in the areas party competition and coalition research - conducting original research in the areas of party competition and coalition research with the goal of publishing internationally (in particular in leading SSCI journals) - maintaining international contacts on behalf of the department - active cooperation in the organization of the department`s teaching programme in the field of "Democratic Governance" - autonomous teaching courses at BA and MA levels according to wage agreement - participation in the department`s administration

    Eligibility criteria

    - Doctorate or PhD in Political Science - excellent knowledge of quantitative social-science methods and advanced statistical methods - international publications (in particular in SSCI journals) in the areas of party politics and/or coalition research - excellent command of English (oral and written)
