We have a fantastic opportunity for two suitable candidates to join Admissions & Applicant Services to work as part of our team processing applications to study with us. We are recruiting to one permanent role and one fixed-term role (providing maternity cover.)

The Service is responsible for responding to enquiries from potential applicants, and for guiding and supporting applicants through their journey from application to enrolment. These roles are based within our Undergraduate Admissions team and are responsible for offering advice and guidance on entry requirements and applicants' suitability, for reviewing and processing decisions on applications, and for confirming applicants' places on receipt of exam results. We are looking for motivated individuals who have previous experience in a customer facing role and can deliver outstanding customer service. The post holders must be confident communicating via email, live chat, over the telephone, and face to face.

The role is varied due to the wide range of applications we receive throughout the admissions cycle, and priorities can change quickly as we respond to the needs of our customers as well as the impact of change within the sector. The post holder must be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment. As a Service, we continually review our practices to ensure we are delivering excellent customer service, and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of the Service through the review of existing working practices, systems, and processes while making recommendations for improvements.

The post holder should have experience in an office environment covering a broad range of administrative tasks. The successful candidate will have a strong attention for detail and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in accordance with procedures and precedent, ensure that work is carried out effectively, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility to work out of hours and at weekends to support recruitment events, peak periods for enquiries, or other ad hoc recruitment activities is required in order to support business need and to provide an excellent customer experience. Annual Leave may be restricted during peak periods to ensure delivery of business operations.

To discuss these roles informally, please contact Elizabeth Brook by email at e.a.brook@hull.ac.uk
