Posting Summary
Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Physician Specialist (Psychiatrist) for the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women, located in Clinton, NJ. The Physician Specialist provides direct clinical care to state prisoners, functions collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and maintains effective communication with staff and administration.

Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment
Typing, ability to work at varying computer workstations provided by the Department of Corrections in shared office environments. Ability to move from unit to unit within a Department of Corrections' facilities. Lifting of up to 10 pounds, ability to implement Universal Precautions and Safety Precautions, and the ability to climb a flight of stairs is required.
Special Conditions
Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same.
