Position Title: TRiO ETS- Tutor, Multiple Subjects 2023-2024 (Temporary, Part-Time, up to 19.5 hours per week)
Department: Desert Vista Campus TRiO Educational Talent Search (ETS) Location : Sunnyside High School (SHS)
Rate of Pay: $13.85 - $15.35/ hour
Closed Date: June 12, 2023; 5:00 PM Arizona Time
Position Summary,
The successful candidate for this part-time position will assist TRiO Educational Talent Search's high school students at SHS to develop comprehension in the subject coursework. The successful candidate will effectively communicate and help improve participants' study skills and habits. Tutors will also assist the Program Coordinator in virtual or in- person workshops, events, meetings, and engage students in a collaborative learning environment. The tutor would be assigned to Pueblo High School but may visit the other high schools when necessary. The high schools that TRiO ETS provides services to are Pueblo High School, Desert View High School, and Sunnyside High School.
Subjects include: Math, Science, Writing/Language Arts. (Multiple subjects preferred)
The primary location that this position will provide services to is: Sunnyside High School (SHS).
The work schedule for this position may include working evenings and weekends. The hourly rate is based on certification level. Most of the working hours will be in-person at the high schools with a few online (if approved by Program Coordinators).
