Job Title Tour Guide (Student Employment - Summer) Job Description

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking undergraduate students to serve as tour guides for summer 2022. Admissions hosts over 2,500 tours annually for prospective students and their families. Tour guides are a vital component to the campus experience. We are looking for Notre Dame undergraduate students who want to share their Notre Dame experience while presenting facts about academics, community, and spiritual life. Training will be provided.


  • Represent the University as an ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Enrollment Division
  • Share the Notre Dame story with prospective students and their families
  • Emphasize the academic, spiritual, and social opportunities at Notre Dame
  • Encourage questions
  • Dress and act in a professional manner
  • The application will remain open until all positions have been filled. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

    Please note that hours worked from all summer jobs may not exceed 40 hours per week. If you have other summer employment, you agree to limit your total hours worked each week to no more than 40 hours.

    Summer tours begin Monday, May 2 (tentatively) and end Friday, August 19.

  • May 2-31: Tours will be offered at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Monday and Friday.
  • June 1-10: Tours will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Monday through Friday and at 3:00 p.m. on Monday and Friday.
  • June 13-30: Tours will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Monday through Friday and at 2:00 p.m. on Monday and Friday. An additional 3:00 p.m. tour on Monday and Friday will be added based on demand.
  • July 1-29: Tours will be offered at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. An additional 3:00 p.m. tour on Monday and Friday will be added based on demand.
  • August 1-19: Tours will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Monday through Friday and at 3:00 p.m. on Monday and Friday.
  • There are no weekend tours.
  • A summer tour guide may lead up to eight (8) tours per week. Tours typically last 60-90 minutes.

    Summer tour guides do not need to be available on all scheduled tour dates and times. Individual availability will be considered as scheduling assignments are made.

    Summer tour guides will be notified 24-48 hours before a scheduled tour if they have been released from the schedule for that tour as a result of insufficient demand.
