The job
To support the UFZ green roof research we are looking for a student
(f/m/x) for a thesis / project work in the field of plant ecology on urban
green roofs
Your tasks
Vegetation surveys on test areas of different green roof types and
maintenance management areas
Vitality determination of replanted flowering plants
Analysis and evaluation of existing data and data to be collected on
species composition and development
Summarizing the results

Your profile
Student from the field of biology, geoecology, landscape ecology or
comparable fields with an ecological focus
Knowledge and experience in practical outdoor ecological work (especially
vegetation surveys)
Understanding of ecological processes and botanical knowledge
Independence, flexibility and willingness to carry out work on a green
roof independently
Good knowledge of German and English required
Good knowledge of MS Excel, basic knowledge of statistics (desirable in
R)
