Offer DescriptionThe project aims to carry out a study that will investigate the processes underlying the SNARC (Spatial-Numerical Association of Response Codes) effect, with a particular focus on the role of the processing of numbers' order and magnitude. The research fellow must be expert in numerical cognition and know the literature regarding the main theories on spatial associations for symbolic and nonsymbolic quantities. Furthermore, the research fellow will have to know the methods used to study these phenomena and possess skills in programming experiments, collecting, and analyzing data with particular reference to the use of software such as Psychopy and Jamovi and online platforms such as Pavlovia and Prolific. The research fellow will be responsible for both designing the research activities and conducting the planned experiments. At the end of the experiments, the research fellow will also be responsible for writing scientific articles regarding the studies carried out.
