Tenure-Track/Tenured Full Time Faculty in the Department of Business Bethel University in Indiana

The Department of Business at Bethel University (IN) is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track faculty member in Accounting starting August 2023.

The Business Department is composed of five majors including Accounting, Business Management, Economics and Finance, Financial Services, and Marketing with nearly two-hundred total students.

  • The successful candidate will teach and develop coursework in accounting in response to departmental needs and his/her area(s) of expertise, as well as advise students in business management and accounting majors.
  • In addition, the candidate is expected to engage in professional service and scholarly activities.
  • Ideal candidates will also demonstrate teaching excellence, interest in strong interaction with students, possess an interest in cooperative programs in Christian Liberal Arts settings and indicate ways they will support the University's commitment to diversity.
  • Normal faculty duties include twelve hours of undergraduate teaching per semester as well as departmental and professional responsibilities listed above.
  • Required : Earned doctorate degree in Accounting or closely related field. ABD will be considered for non-tenure track instructor position.

  • Additionally, as a Christian liberal arts institution, Bethel University desires that its faculty possess a vibrant Christian faith and an understanding of how that faith integrates with their discipline. Therefore, candidates are also required to submit a brief statement of faith and statement on the integration of faith and learning.
