The University of Windsor's Department of Economics, within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of environmental economics and/or health economics at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2022. Outstanding candidates in any field will be considered. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

The Department of Economics offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and candidates should be prepared to teach at both levels. Teaching at the senior level complements the interests of the faculty members and enables us to introduce recent research themes to students. Our two Masters programs, one being research oriented and the other more applied, encourage close cooperation between students and faculty. A successful candidate will have a PhD or be within one year of completion by the date of appointment. The candidate will combine a strong commitment to quality teaching with excellent research potential. The candidate would have opportunities to collaborate with the School of the Environment, WE-Spark Health Institute, the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research (GLIER) and local industry.

  • samples of scholarly writing, including (if applicable) clear indications of your contribution to any jointly authored pieces;

  • three (3) current letters of reference forwarded directly by the referees (not by the candidate) to the Department Head, at the email listed below.
