Position Summary:

This job posting is for job seekers that are interested in temporary Custodian positions.

UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) continuously seeks applicants that are interested and available to work in Custodian roles on temporary assignments at the UC Irvine Campus in Irvine, UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange and other UCI Satellite Clinics.

We recruit for this position on an on-going basis in order to build a talent pool of potential candidates.

Duties for Senior Custodian Assignments:

Daily floor care

Deep bathroom cleaning and disinfecting

Deep kitchen cleaning and disinfecting

Additional tasks as necessary (i.e., furniture moving)

Wash outside windows

blinds and screens, cleans glass doors inside and out

Hang and remove window coverings and curtains

Remove and dispose of trash, empty and clean wastebaskets and other receptacles

Clean baseboard and exhaust fans

Carpet machine cleaning

Performs general cleaning tasks as needed

Total Compensation:

Temporary employees may be eligible for partial benefits based on full-time, 100% appointment and is subject to collective bargaining agreements. Compensation Range:

Minimum $19.28 Mid-Point $22.17 Maximum $25.44

Required:

Previous custodial experience

Preferred:

California Driver's License

Experience with floor buffing, window cleaning and carpet machine cleaning

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT:

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department.

Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements.

Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles.
