Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Teach one or more courses, at NMSU main campus or online; 2) Conduct one
(1) office hour per week for each course taught at the campus where the
class is held; 3) Meet administrative deadlines and requests for student
data/assessment as assigned by the Division, School, and College; 4) Attend
relevant department meetings each semester (virtually; face-to-face); 5)
Participate in Professional Development through the NMSU Teaching Academy and
portfolio process for part-time faculty; 6) Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements: Minimum requirement is a Master's degree (conferred
before beginner instruction) or equivalent in education from an accredited
institution; a Master's degree (conferred before beginning instruction) in
closely related degrees may be considered in combination with a minimum of two
semesters of higher education experience in lower-division courses.
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
Preferences given to those with: 1) a conferred doctoral degree in Education,
Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Learning Technologies, and/or STEM
education from an accredited institution; 2) Demonstrated working knowledge
of current developments in curriculum and instruction; 3) Demonstrated
ability to utilize a variety of teaching methods including lecture,
collaborative learning, online practices, and individualized instruction; 4)
Ability to relate to an instruct a non-traditional, diverse student
population; 5) Demonstrated ability to relate and explain complex subject
matter for different academic levels
Special Requirements of the Position
MA Degree in Educational Learning Technology or related field. One-two years
of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
