Become a fundraising ambassador for Birkbeck to making a difference!

You will be part of an energetic and friendly team, calling Birkbeck alumni from around the world, to build and maintain a strong relationship with the College. You will update them about our 200th anniversary activities, talk about our exciting Campaign, The World Needs More Birkbeck, and inspire them to support us by making a philanthropic gift.

Every conversation is different, and you will be able to gain valuable career advice from graduates across the years. Birkbeck alumni want to hear from you.     We are looking to recruit up to fifteen students with the following qualities:

  • Passionate about Birkbeck and have understanding for the need of fundraising in higher education sector
  • Highly articulate and able to convey the College's priorities.
  • Friendly and tactful over the telephone with the ability to build quick rapport
  • Happy to work both weekday afternoons, evenings and weekend shifts (3 hours per shift)
  • Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous telephone experience such as working in a call centre, in an office or reception function or in fundraising.
  • Remuneration:

    Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College, inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance, for contact hours worked.
