An opportunity has arisen in the Department of Chemistry to provide specialist technical support to the undergraduate Teaching Laboratories. The post holder will be expected to work under the direction of senior technical and academic/teaching staff to ensure provision of safe and efficient undergraduate practical classes.

Knowledge of general laboratory procedures, IT and instrumentation management, and of working in a scientific environment are essential for the post, although specific training will be provided.

This will require the candidate to work collaboratively with the technical team, academics, and teaching staff to provide general and flexible support. Knowledge of general laboratory procedures, ability to perform practical tasks unsupervised, and experience of working in a scientific environment are essential for the post, although specific training will be provided.
