Technician - Life Sciences
Faculty of Health, Science, Social Care & Education
Working within the Faculty of Health, Science, Social Care and Education
(HSSCE), you will provide practical and operational support to HSSCE
laboratories, mainly in the day to day operation of life sciences in support
of Higher Education, but potentially in any area of the Faculty.
You will contribute to the learning experience of students by providing
guidance on the use of resources and promote an excellent understanding of
laboratory practices and techniques. You will ensure that laboratories, and
the facilities within them are maintained in good order, in accordance with
health & safety legislation and manufacturer's maintenance instructions.
You will need to be a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual, ready to
contribute to the day to day operation and maintenance of the Faculty's
laboratories and to work with students, academics and clients. You will be
qualified to HNC level in a life science or related subject and possess
significant relevant experience in laboratory techniques in the fields of
Biochemistry, Histology, Microbiology and Forensic Science.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £26,254 per
