Sheffield Hallam University Technical Operations Resources and Services (TORS) are excited to welcome a new team member whose main role will be to provide technical support for our Computing-based teaching areas. If you are passionate about teamwork, customer service, facilitation of learning, then we could be welcoming you as our new Embedded Technician.
As a technician your main role will be providing day to day support to computing based laboratories. This includes facilitating teaching that looks at programming the Arduino/ Microbit platforms and interfacing to them. Also, you will support additional activities that look at digital logic gates and constructing PC's from individual parts.
You must be educated to HND/HNC or above (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and / or have experience in an industrial or educational environment. Able to lead by example, you will be well organised and have a shared responsibility for local health and safety implementation. Some flexibility towards working hours is also required.
