We are looking to appoint a Technical Tutor to support the delivery of Acting at UCA Farnham. You will be responsible for ensuring that allocated equipment, spaces and resources are appropriately prepared, configured, functioning, replenished, issued and maintained in line with University requirements, while also providing technical support to staff and students.

Within the tutor aspect of the role, you will compile learning materials and deliver technical tuition and support for stage and screen performances and within moving image workflows. You will also be required to set up and operate a range of lighting, sound and multimedia equipment and support staff and students in all aspects of performance activities. Pre-production and production requirements include basic set design, construction of props and the use of lighting. Post-production will require use of video cameras, sound recording equipment and editing software such as Adobe Premiere to create screen outcomes and the recording of the performances.

You be responsible for the health and safety in your area of competence. Experience of safe working practices is essential while knowledge of risk assessment and stage, theatre production is an advantage.

You will also have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing tactfully with students and staff. The ability to work under pressure is essential.

The position is 14.5 hours per week, 2 days. Actual salary £11,171 to £12,564 per annum
