An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Technician to join our Fashion Atelier technical team working within our Fashion Atelier department.

The successful applicant will have experience of pattern cutting and draping with a good understanding of garment construction machinery and associated processes.

You will be able to demonstrate pattern cutting techniques to mixed ability groups and have extensive knowledge of the materials used in the production of students work.

You will have the ability to demonstrate, advise and support students in pattern cutting, grading and garment construction.

Working alongside colleagues you will induct students, through demonstrations into the safe use of the area as well as any associated equipment and machines.

You will contribute to the care and maintenance of equipment and be responsible for the health and safety in your area of competence. You will also have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing tactfully with students and staff. The ability to work under pressure is essential.
