Have you got experience in CNC programming and machining?
Within the Department of Mechanical Engineering we require a highly skilled, adaptable and self-motivated machinist to provide technical support to the Mechanical Services Main Workshop and CNC Manufacturing facility.
About the roleYou will be responsible for providing technical advice, instruction and support to academic and research staff and students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Duties will include;
To succeed, you will be proficient in the safe operation and use of a variety of mechanical workshop machine tools together with design, fitting and assembly skills. You will also have;
Knowledge and experience of Computer Aided Design (CAD) programming would be an advantage but training will be available if necessary to develop these skills.
