Working in the Civil Engineering and Building laboratories and workshops within the School of Energy, Construction and Environment you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in teaching and research. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction and a commitment to enhancing our research capability.
The successful candidate will join a group of technicians who are responsible for providing technical support to academic staff, providing skilled and best practice use of specialist Civil Engineering and Building laboratory and test equipment and teaching resources.
The technical role also includes responsibility for ensuring all equipment, documentation and records are regularly maintained to appropriate standards. Furthermore, there will be a significant element of training, skills instruction and competence development to students, colleagues and external customers.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised and self-motivated individual who will be expected to manage a personal development plan and manage the day-to-day running of the facilities against an agreed set of objectives and Key Performance Indicators.
