We are looking to appoint a Technical Services Manager (TSM) to our team at Farnham

The Technical Services Manager, Equipment and Digital Services is a senior position with responsibility for the leadership and management of technical staff and technical resources that support teaching and learning.

Overseeing the Equipment Hire Department, AV, Print Bureau and Systems Support Analyst, this role is responsible for equipment and digital services that support and enable access to equipment and learning. End user experience is central to this role so experience and focus on user and customer experience is essential. You will also manage technical staff who teach and support the use of digital software.

Supporting the Head of Technical Operations, you will be central to the day- to-day technical operations that support student learning, leading a technical team to develop access to learning resources and ensuring they are maintained, available and appropriate to the learning need.

Technical staff are key to the delivery of our creative curricular so as Technical Services Manager, you will work closely with Directors of School, Programme Directors and acting as liaison between technical and academic teams to ensure that technical support and technical delivery is inclusive and meets the academic needs.

You will play an important role in maintaining the safety of our campus and learning environments, interpreting the legislative requirements of specialist processes and equipment and ensuring that H&S management systems that facilitate safe working practices within workspaces and the production of artworks.

This is an exciting and varied role that is the conduit to the development and innovation of technical learning at UCA. Our technical teams contribute to the whole of the learning journey and in this role, you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the success of the students who come and study with us. You will have the opportunity to lead, manage and shape a technical team and their specialism, develop innovative technical teaching and learning resources and working with senior managers to develop current and future equipment and technologies.
