Full Time, Continuing Position

ITDS is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy and framework to ensure that learning & teaching staff, students and researchers at the University are aware of and get maximum benefit from digital technologies, infrastructure and learning & teaching and research tools and facilities available to the University.

Working under broad direction, the Technical Lead within ITDS is responsible for providing thought leadership and contributes to the platform strategy, roadmap, design principles and associated projects. The Technical Lead is also responsible for the overall preventative maintenance plan(s) for the designated platform(s), product(s) and identifies continuous improvement opportunities. In collaboration with Business Units, ITDS Managers, Business Service Owners, and key stakeholders the Technical Lead will ensure that product and/ or project backlogs are prioritised and aligned with the product vision, solution vision and the overall strategy.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and/or leading the implementation of M365 products and experience with M365 migrations and onboarding activities.
  • Demonstrated experience or exposure to M365 technologies including the following, Teams, One Drive for Business, Exchange, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Flow and Power Automate.
  • Experience in management of a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative work practices and experience in managing business systems / digital platforms, understanding of trends and best practices, and support processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or mentorship role, leading technical teams and managing project lifecycles using agile and / or hybrid methods.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, with the capability of inspiring others, with a consultative and collaborative communication style to deliver high-level negotiations and engagements.
