The Technical Director will serve as the lead staff member for the daily management of Studzinski Recital Hall and for the scheduling and production of events in this facility. This role will also manage all technical equipment in the Recital Hall and coordinate with the Dept. of Music on the supervision and use of non-technical equipment. The Technical Director will coordinate with the Office of Events and Summer Programs on the use of the recital hall, and will support the audio and other production needs of College events in other venues.

Salary Range for this position is expected to be: Minimum $65,000 – Maximum $80,000 , depending on experience. This is a 0.88 FTE.

Education/Skills Requirements

Required:

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work well with a wide variety of individuals and groups a necessity.
  • In addition to knowledge of technical systems, the applicant should have strong management and planning skills.
  • Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of full-time experience in a professional environment working with computer-based recording systems and live sound
  • Working knowledge of theatrical lighting systems.
  • Prior experience with the Pro Tools audio recording system preferred.
  • Standard Work Days and Hours

  • Full-time during the College academic year with a part-time schedule from June through mid-August.
  • Academic year schedule will include an initial daily schedule of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with some evening and/or weekend time required for event production.
  • Schedule during June through mid-August coordinated in conjunction with supervisor, but in general it may include two days per week of on campus time.
