The LEED module programme is part of the University of Leeds “Discovery
Module” approach. Discovery modules reinforce the value and interest of home
degrees by offering students the opportunity to broaden their learning and
pursue their own personal interests, while developing skills that will help
prepare them for life after university.
The LEED module programme delivers a range of different modules across three
themes: Teaching and Coaching, Sport and Personal Development and Outdoor
Adventure. The modules are designed to be interactive, engaging and focus on
practical application of learning.
As a Teaching Fellow in LEED Discovery Modules you will take responsibility
for several sport related modules including Sport Development, Event
Management and Teaching and Coaching. These will include undergraduate level
students from across the university. You will cover preparation, student
support and marking as well as delivery of the modules. You will also take on
a lead role in the planning of the programme working with our colleagues in
Sport and Exercise Science within the Faculty of Biological Sciences.
With a undergraduate degree in sport or education you will have extensive
professional experience in the areas of sport, education and management and
will have experience of developing and delivering teaching. As this is a busy
role you will have good time management and planning skills, with a proven
ability to manage competing demands effectively.
