Cracow University of Technology NOTICE OF OPEN COMPETITION on Teaching Assistant position

in Laboratory of Coordinate Metrology (M-10) at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Working time: full-time

Available positions: 2

Type of contract: fixed-term contract 12 months/ indefinite-term contract

Represented scientific discipline: mechanical engineering

1. Essential requirements:

• MSc in mechanical engineering or physics, or another related discipline,

• documented at least 3 years of experience in the field of coordinate metrology,

• fluent knowledge of the Polish language in speech and writing, enabling teaching in Polish (in case of foreigners, confirmed by appropriate certificates),

• documented knowledge of English at least at B2 level,

• knowledge of metrological software: MountainsMap, Calypso,

• certificate of completion of pedagogical training for academic teachers or commitment to start training after employment,

• personal characteristics: communication skills, independence, creativity, ease of establishing contacts, high personal culture.

2. Scope of tasks performed at the position:

In terms of teaching activities:

• conducting classes with students within the scope specified in the PK Work Regulations,

• preparation of teaching materials,

• consultations with students.

In terms of organizational activities:

• improving own professional qualifications,

• active participation in the organizational works of the Laboratory and the Faculty,

• organizing and participating in promotional and presentation campaigns of the university,

• performing works assigned by the supervisor in accordance with the needs of the Laboratory.

3. Required documents:

• detailed CV (including details of previous employment),

• application for employment addressed to the Rector of the Cracow University of Technology,

• photocopies of documents, attestations, certificates confirming education and accuracy of other information provided by candidates,

• list of scientific achievements and publications,

• certificate of completion of a pedagogical training (if candidate finished pedagogical training).

The employment will take place after the competition procedure consisting in:

• analysis of submitted documentation,

• running job interviews (held stationary or using remote communication systems).

The required documents should be submitted to the Secretariat of the Laboratory of Coordinate Metrology, al. Jana Pawla II 37, building C, room C102, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Documents not collected within this period will be destroyed by the commission.
