The Centre for China Studies invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide support for courses in the English-taught Chinese Studies programmes.

Applicants should possess (i) a good honours degree, preferably a Master's degree in the humanities or social sciences and in an area related to Chinese studies; and (ii) an excellent command of written and spoken English. Experience in teaching academic literacy and researching or teaching Chinese studies-related courses would be useful.

The appointee will be required to (a) manage class lists, timetables and teaching materials; (b) provide support for students with academic literacy; (c) conduct some tutorials and class discussions; (d) coordinate class activities, including activities held outside the University; and (e) perform other duties as assigned by the Programme Director.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for ten months commencing August 2022.
