  • Work collaboratively within and across functional areas to deliver high quality support in the administration of curriculum delivery activities and ensure broader Faculty goals and objectives are being met

  • About the Role As the Teaching and Learning Officer, you will play a key role in the successful operation and organization of the Academic Support Office's (ASO) activities and focuses on providing support for the School of Culture and Communication (SCC) / School of Social and Political Sciences (SSPS). You will work collaboratively across the ASO to deliver high quality support in the administration of the schools' undergraduate, honours and graduate coursework programs and support the wider faculty as required.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide successful teaching and learning support for the School and Faculty including results processing, production of the timetable, and examination process
  • High level administrative support for undergraduates, honours, and coursework programs within SCC / SSPS in conjunction with Faculty Academic Support staff
  • Provide committee support for the Education and Students Committee
  • Who We Are Looking For We are seeking team players who can maintain high levels of awareness of university policies and procedures, issues and activities relevant to the area of responsibility, and who are able to organise their work independently to meet deadlines and enhance the administration and delivery of our programs .

    You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with an ability to relate positively on an individual basis with a wide range of people from students to senior management
  • Ability to exercise sensitivity, discretion and confidentiality in interactions with students and academic and professional staff at all levels

    This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
