Job description

With our commitment and focus on internal career progression in the professional services, one of our team members has advanced to a Talent and Resourcing Consultant role, and another moved across to Student futures team with a new sense of direction, leaving us with not one but two exciting opportunities for Talent and Resourcing Assistants in the team. We are looking for someone to join the heart of our inhouse recruitment team, where we source and recruit the best talent in Academic, Research and Professional Services for all roles across the university.

Edinburgh Napier University is a forward-thinking institution, home to forward-thinking people, currently the top modern university in Scotland and in the top 10 of the UK. We're inviting applicants from all stages of life to join our dynamic and supportive environment, with a clear strategy and growth agenda. You'll find that we support ambition, recognise achievement, and offer fantastic benefits such as an attractive pension of 20.8%, a leading health and wellbeing support ideology and a minimum of 36 days holiday per annum.

The role

The successful applicants will be responsible for supporting and liaising with the three Talent and Recruitment Consultants, alongside their fellow assistant, across the Schools and Services. This role will provide a wide range of proactive administrative support, advice, data input and MI reporting to several internal and external stakeholders. Some of the key responsibilities you could expect are:

  • Monitoring and management of the recruitment enquiries
  • Generating routine and ad-hoc reports for the team
  • Ensuring all systems and trackers are up to date and information entered is 100% accurately
  • Expenses processing
  • Coordinate diaries across the organisation, including booking interview rooms/virtual interviews
  • Update and maintain intranet and external career sites
  • Supporting wider Recruitment Team projects
  • Who we are looking for

We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, desire to apply valuable life experience and an ability to build strong rapport with others quickly whilst demonstrating our university values and behaviours, adding value to customer focused team.

This role will suit a team player, with strong planning, organising and analytical skills. Experience of using in-house HR systems or similar CRM or ATS is advantageous. Navigating Excel and 365 products will also be of benefit.

We work at a fast pace, but if you love to get stuck in, juggle lots of different tasks and deliver a first-class candidate experience this could be the role for you!

You'll largely be working out of our Sighthill Campus and currently operating hybrid working. Please contact Muniba Khan ([email protected]) to have an informal chat regarding this opportunity.
