To provide varied administrative support to the Department. Responsible for a variety of administrative duties requiring moderate exercise of independent judgment, initiative and ability to make decisions relative to office operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to students, faculty and guests.
  • Provide support on MyMav such as course assignments and enrollment requests.
  • Grant building/room access through card swipe and office key requests. Works with Key Control to maintain an accurate key inventory. Assists with scheduling of classrooms and labs.
  • Creates travel authorizations and reimbursements.
  • Creates non-travel reimbursements.
  • Responsible for administrative tasks such as ordering office supplies, ordering business cards, merchandise purchasing, maintaining computer listing, sending items to surplus, ordering business cards, preparation for shredding and disposal, printer access at beginning and end of semester, etc.
  • Assists Department Chair and Advisor(s) with special projects.
  • Works with Inventory Services to maintain an accurate inventory of departmental assets. Handles departmental asset transfers.
  • Coordinates with OIT for software updates, re-imaging and drive destruction.
  • Coordinates mail services.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Required Qualifications

  • High School graduation or equivalent or three (3) years of secretarial service.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and excellent customer service skills.
