This position functions as support for our SuperSnack meal. Supersnack is a highly popular way to fuel late-night studies or merriment. Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Bowdoin Dining lays out its offerings—jello, jalapeno poppers, cereal, grilled cheese, nachos, etc., in Thorne Hall. (And veggies and fruit, of course).

This position will assist with cold food preparation

Servery set up and replenishment, and customer food service.

Performs general sanitation duties mainly in the dish room and pot & pan cleaning area.

May be assigned sanitation procedures in related areas of dining hall including kitchen, servery, dining rooms, restrooms, and exteriors.

Hourly rate for this position is $17.50/ per hour (This position is eligible for shift differential)

Education/Skills Requirements

Required:

Applicants must be responsible and professional with good communication skills,

Be able to function effectively during late-night hours

Enjoy interacting with college students in a fast-paced, fluid work environment

Preferred:

A high school diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

Required:

No experience required but willing to train the right candidate.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Available Shifts:

Thursday 10pm-2:30am

Friday 10pm-2:30am

Saturday 10pm-2:30am.

This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position working less than 20 hours/ week.
