This position functions as support for our SuperSnack meal. Supersnack is a highly popular way to fuel late-night studies or merriment. Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Bowdoin Dining lays out its offerings—jello, jalapeno poppers, cereal, grilled cheese, nachos, etc., in Thorne Hall. (And veggies and fruit, of course).

  • This position will assist with cold food preparation
  • Servery set up and replenishment, and customer food service.
  • Performs general sanitation duties mainly in the dish room and pot & pan cleaning area.
  • May be assigned sanitation procedures in related areas of dining hall including kitchen, servery, dining rooms, restrooms, and exteriors.
  • Hourly rate for this position is $17.50/ per hour (This position is eligible for shift differential)
  • Education/Skills Requirements

    Required:

  • Applicants must be responsible and professional with good communication skills,
  • Be able to function effectively during late-night hours
  • Enjoy interacting with college students in a fast-paced, fluid work environment
  • Preferred:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

    Required:

  • No experience required but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Standard Work Days and Hours

    Available Shifts:

  • Thursday 10pm-2:30am
  • Friday 10pm-2:30am
  • Saturday 10pm-2:30am.
  • This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position working less than 20 hours/ week.
