Job Summary

The Summer Bridge Facilitator primary function is to provide instruction in the approved topic for incoming freshmen students. The Summer Bridge program offers 7 or 8 days of engaging, meaningful instructions and is designed to help incoming freshmen students develop positive and productive relationships. Other duties as assigned.

Topics include : Career Exploration, Academic Engagement, LSCPA Resources, Life Skills, Team Building and/or Health and Wellness The program introduces incoming students to the rigor and structure of early college high school and provides students with meaningful academic and social connections. SB facilitator is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive atmosphere that meet the goals of program.

The Summer Bridge Facilitator position is a temporary assignment from: May 25, 2023 – June 30, 2023; Monday – Thursday.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required with related experience in the field from an accredited college or university. At least one year of experience in an Early College high school or higher education setting as a faculty member or in a student services role. Recommendation from current campus administrator.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as an academic advisor/counselor/recruiter or faculty member in a higher education or high school setting. Current employees for Wilson ECHS and/or Bob Hope High School. KNOWLEDGE /SKILLS AND ABILITY: Must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Deal with students, faculty and staff in professional manner. Establish effective working relationships with others. Promote a positive campus image. Follow established college policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands represent the functions that must be met by an employee to successfully perform this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly carry up to 20 pounds and lift up to 20 pounds.

SALARY Varied - One-time pay Work Hours Part-time position. Monday - Friday hrs vary
