About School of Culture and Communication School of Culture and Communication sits within the Favulty of Arts. It promotes programs in Art History and Curatorship, Arts and Cultural Management, Indigenous Studies, Creative Writing, English and Theatre Studies, Media and Communications, Publishing and Editing, Journalism, and Screen and Cultural Studies.

About the Role As the Senior Adviser, Engagement Strategy, your primary responsibility will be the coordination of teaching activities such as lectures and seminars/tutorials and the preparation and delivery of these classes MECM90038 ‘Researching Media & Communications' in accordance with the Faculty's Local Operating Rules.

In a typical week at work, you may:

Undertake subject coordination duties including the development of LMS sites and subject guides, the management of assessment extension request and the selection and supervision of sessional tutors as required

Prepare assessments in accordance with subject guidelines in the University Handbook and coordinate assessment processes

Undertake consultation with students

About You You will have high level interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships and professionalism with all levels of the organization. You will also require excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Ideally, you will further have:

Completion of a Doctoral or Master's qualification in the relevant discipline or equivalent relevant academic or professional or practice- based experience and expertise

Demonstrated experience in curriculum and subject material development

Experience in supervising, coaching and supporting staff and fostering an effective teaching team
