  • About the Role The Subject Coordinator will provide academic leadership, manage curriculum coordination, and engage in continuous improvement of the Discovery Course in Clinical and Translational Medicine, ensuring alignment with university standards and the Melbourne Medical School MD program. The position requires active participation in teaching and learning activities within the MD program, research, and involvement in School/Faculty meetings and community and professional activities while upholding university values.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the delivery of MD1 and MD2 Discovery subjects in Clinical and Translational Medicine.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for the MD Discovery Program in the Department of Medicine, ensuring curriculum quality, coherence, and consistency.
  • Actively contribute to teaching and learning activities, including planning, revision of existing content and implementing assessment requirements.
  • Engage in research leadership.
  • Who We Are Looking For You will demonstrate strong and active leadership in an academic environment and possess a successful record in delivering quality student supervision. You bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative approach, and proven experience in fostering academic activities.

    You will also have:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • A proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to driving and delivering academic activities, contributing significantly to the advancement of the relevant discipline.
